Washington, DC & Woburn, MA – April 30, 2025 —The Arc of the United States and Navigating Life have announced a three-year national partnership to expand access to innovative digital communication tools for agencies supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This collaboration will offer all chapters of The Arc exclusive discounted access to Navigating Life, a leading private social networking platform designed to enhance family engagement, program transparency, and automated activity tracking.
Navigating Life is a HIPAA-compliant mobile platform that connects direct support professionals (DSPs), families, and people with I/DD through secure messaging, image and video sharing, and real-time activity tracking. Already used by organizations in residential programs, day programs, employment groups, 1-1 supports, and more– the app simplifies quality auditing by creating geotagged, time-stamped logs of activities while fostering stronger connections between families and the people they support.
The Arc of the United States provides critical supports and services for people with IDD across 47 states with more than 550 chapters nationwide.
By partnering, The Arc and Navigating Life further their shared commitment to advancing innovative solutions that strengthen the quality, transparency, and accessibility of disability services nationwide.
“The Arc is excited to be partnering with Navigating Life to offer this innovative platform to our chapter network,” said Carrie Hobbs Guiden, Senior Executive Officer of Chapters and Community at The Arc. “With so many technology platforms available today, knowing this one has been ‘test-driven’ already by some of our chapters with great success gives us confidence it will benefit others.”
“Our partnership with The Arc is an incredible opportunity to extend Navigating Life’s impact,” said Veronica St. Cyr, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Navigating Life. “Chapters of The Arc serve as essential hubs for disability supports across the country, and we are thrilled to provide them with a flexible, user-friendly platform that enhances transparency, communication, and connection.”
Exclusive Benefits for The Arc’s Network
Through this partnership, all chapters of The Arc will receive a discount on Navigating Life’s licensing fees, making it easy to get started. With Navigating Life, chapters can:
